    Abstract

Silica gel bearing chemically immobilized humic acid (CBHA) has been prepared and used to model the uptake of 110Ag+ and 125I- by humic matter. The adsorptive properties of CBHA, as judged by the uptake of these radionuclides, are quite distinct from those of the parent silica gel.
