Abstract

The urinary excretion of ²⁴⁴Cm following the infusion of succinate and citrate is less than that predicted from in vitro experiments. This may be partly due to incomplete dissolution of the particles by enhanced plasma citrate levels. A more likely explanation, however, is that citrate and succinate are unable to inhibit the association of particles with serum proteins.
