Abstract

Screening of tuberculosis contact children, aims at identifying secondary cases but, above all, at preventing tuberculosis disease in infected children. This action must be implemented quickly because children are more at risk of rapidly progressive disease, and because effective and well tolerated preventive treatments are available.
