Abstract

This paper summarizes the current knowledge of dielectric properties of tissues over a wide frequency range and their variation as a function of age. It also reports the state of knowledge on dielectric properties of tissues with pathological states in particular those of cancer tissues. Finally, gaps and challenges remaining in the field of dielectric spectroscopy of biological tissues are highlighted.
