Research interests: evidence synthesis of public health evidence; evidence synthesis to support decision-making (policy, guidance, advice, research priorities); rapid reviews; mapping reviews and evidence gap maps; development of methods and processes for evidence synthesis (+ public health nutrition; health inequalities; climate change and sustainability)

 

Professional and research experience: 

Since 2016 - evidence synthesis and public health: I currently lead the Evidence Review team within the Knowledge, Evidence & Research division. Prior to that, I worked as an evidence reviewer in the COVID-19 Rapid Evidence Service (2020-2022) as well as in the Diet and Obesity division at PHE, conducting reviews on maternal and child nutrition as part of the scientific secretariat to SACN (2018-2020); I aslo did some research for a Foor Poverty Needs assessment for the Food & Health team at Royal Borough of Greenwich

Prior to 2016 - academic research in the field of biosensing platforms and nanotechnology: research scientist between 2010 and 2014 in the Nanobiosensors and Bionalytical Applications group at the ICN2 (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain); PhD researcher between 2007 and 2010 in the Biophysics group at the IPR (Université de Rennes 1, France)
