Organisation profile
The Evaluation and Behavioural Science HPRU will continue to support the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) to do research that helps people and organisations improve their own and the public’s health. We are especially working on reducing infectious diseases. This may involve several approaches such as promoting vaccinations, testing for infections, reviewing published research, and evaluating existing actions and how they are put into practice.
This work needs a team with different expertise working together. It will include people who:
- are experts in coproducing support for health protective behaviour
- carry out interviews
- examine statistical information
- develop models to predict how a disease might spread
- design research studies
- evaluate cost effectiveness
In collaboration with the University of Bristol, University of Cambridge, University of the West of England, Glasgow Caledonian University, Public Health Scotland, Swansea University, University College London, and Public Health Wales.
